These sludges have problems such as high water content, so the deep dehydration of these sludges has become one of the key research topics. Studies have found that after the urban sludge is modified by a chemical agent, the sludge is deeply dehydrated with a filter press to form a sludge filter cake with low water content, thereby achieving sludge reduction.

Application Advantages
Sudong has developed a special filter press for deep dehydration of sludge based on the characteristics of sludge in response to the current situation of the high water content of the filter cake filtered by the traditional reinforced polypropylene plate filter press. This series of filter presses uses an imported polymer TPE elastomer formula to produce high-pressure diaphragm filter plates with a pressing force of up to 3MPa. By secondary squeezing the filtered mud cake, the moisture content of the filter cake can be reduced to about 55%. Under the premise of economy, safety, and environmental protection, the centralized disposal and resource utilization of sludge are realized, and the "reduction, harmlessness, stabilization, and resource utilization" of sludge is realized.
The investment and operation costs of sludge treatment account for 25%-65% of the investment and operation costs of the entire sewage plant, which has become a heavy burden faced by urban sewage treatment plants. Generally, sludge volume reduction treatment accounts for about 60% of the total sludge investment, and the most important part of sludge volume reduction is sludge dehydration. At present, the use of the Sudong filter press is an economical and environmentally friendly dehydration method, which is of great significance for sludge treatment and disposal.
